Visual Information Specialist

Be part of our multidisciplinary team that drives transportation safety by investigating accidents and recommending solutions.  As a core technology for communicating the findings in accident investigations, animations and graphical presentations play a key role in telling the story to the general public.

 

We are searching for a visual information specialist with a passion for converting complex data into memorable and compelling visual representations.  The successful candidate will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with engineers and other specialists to design the overall presentation, and then creating the animation, graphic or video using state-of-the-art computer graphics tools.  Candidates for this position should have experience designing and implementing visual presentations through a range of computer graphics tools.

 

Established in 1967, the National Transportation Safety Board is one of the world's preeminent accident investigation agencies.  Our team determines the causes of transportation accidents, conducts research, and recommends safety improvements.  The Board is an independent Federal agency headed by five Board Members who are nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate.  NTSB is ranked as one of the best places to work in the Federal Government in 2011.
