Zbrush Character Artist

Description

We’re seeking Zbrush/Maya character artists with exceptional eye for anatomy and experience working with digital scanned files.  You will explore all your technical and artistic skills as you assist our Lead Technical Director and animation department modeling, modifying and texturing a diverse range of characters, streamlining our pipeline, helping build a library of character assists using a base universal rig. You should have a  strong technical background combined with an artistic eye for anatomy.  This position is based in our Burbank, CA office- a contract position that could lead to a more permanent role. 


Responsibilities

• Create and refine high resolution 3D sculpts to final low polygon assets.

• Create hand painted textures and next-gen materials for use in real time rendering engines.


Requirements & Skills

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in game or film development as an artist specializing in character / organic modeling using         Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush, or Mudbox.

• Exceptional understanding of next generation asset creation pipelines and tools

• Superior eye for light, shade, color, and detail in creating texture maps

• Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude

• Able to work closely within a tight knit group.
