Sr. Concept Artist- Environment
Avalanche
Studios is a Disney Interactive Development Studio based in Salt Lake City, UT.
We are focused on the creation of video games based on Disney intellectual
properties as well as the creation of new properties. We are looking for a senior
concept artist to support our new product, Disney’s INFINITY!
JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES
·
Collaborate effectively with other artists
and participate in art review sessions to ensure the overall quality of the
product.
·
Work on
promotional and prototype material for both internal and external studio
presentations.
·
Create concept
and character art for interactive game pieces.
·
Help develop art
reference guides and a cohesive art style for all aspects of the game through
concept images.
·
Work with development
team on visual development of gameplay ideas, characters, locations, props, and
game atmosphere.
·
Maintain and
communicate a strong knowledge of leading-edge game production techniques and
the capabilities/limitations of these techniques as they relate to the project
goals.
·
Ability to contribute effectively within
project and technology constraints while creating characters in a variety of
artistic styles.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
·
5+ years of
experience on previous video game development teams.
·
Strong traditional
artistic skills with a good grasp of anatomy, architecture, technical, graphic
design and color theory, plus the ability to adapt to different styles.
·
Receptive to art direction and ability to
work well in a collaborative team environment.
·
Complete command of Maya’s modeling and
texturing tools.

Avalanche
Software (Salt Lake City, UT) is a video game development studio focusing on
the creation of games based on Disney intellectual properties in addition to
the creation of new properties. In early 2009, Fall Line and Avalanche merged
to become one studio. The new
organization combines the best practices and experience of the two studios.
