Intern Software Engineer, UI

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

NetherRealm Studios seeks an Intern Software Engineer to work on UI for the highly successful Injustice: Gods Among Us for Mobile. The Intern Software Engineer will work closely with artists and designers to add exciting new features to the game.

Injustice continues to be a very popular game on mobile devices and we need a hardworking and talented individual to continue to help us support it. This is a tremendous opportunity to take ownership of large system in a top tier game.

Tasks will include setting up challenge data, creating new screens and game modes, adding new characters, maintaining UI code across the game, and fixing bugs prior to release updates.

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Work Experience

· A minimum of 1 year game industry or related programming experience.

· Experience implementing UI in either a college course or a professional setting.

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

· B.S. in computer science, computer engineering or other relevant field.

Knowledge/Skills

· Excellent C++ mastery and skills.  The ability to write highly efficient and optimized code.

· Perforce Version Control experience

· Flash and Actionscript 3.0 experience is a huge plus.

· Mobile experience is a plus

· Unreal engine experience, specifically, unrealscript, is a plus

Other Requirements

· Must be a self-starter and able to take on work and run with it.

· Interested in developing quality UI

· Must be able to work closely with designers, artists, and programmers to develop compelling technology that enables innovative game systems and features.
