Gameloft, the largest mobile-gaming development studio in Montreal, is currently seeking a dynamic and skilled UNIX Systems Administrator with solid experience working with Apache and MySQL to join the Global Network Services (GNS) team.
Gameloft creates games for all digital platforms, including mobile phones, smartphones and tablets (including Apple® iOS and Android® devices), set-top boxes and connected TVs. Founded in 1999 and a top innovator in its field, Gameloft, distributes its games in over 100 countries.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
• Administrating Unix services including supporting production web and database servers (Apache, PHP, MySQL,Varnish);
• Documenting technical procedures and policies;
• Optimizing SQL queries and MySQL servers
• Automation (Puppet)
• Unix administration (dns/ldap/load balancing/HA/etc...)
• Systems design and architecture
• R&D (researching new technologies)
• Ensuring level 2/3 support;
• Being part of the 24x7 “on call” team (5 week rotation).
Requirements
• At least 5 years’ experience with UNIX platforms in a large-scale, high-volume production environment;
• Solid knowledge of script programming, task automation, and applying security practices;
• Strong experience with Apache and MySQL in a production environment (mandatory);
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network troubleshooting;
Skills and profile
• Good communication skills and able to integrate well in a team;
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Strong organizational and project management skills as well as good analysis methodology;
• Strong documentation skills;
• Ability to work under stress and in a 24x7x365 production environment is essential.
• Ability to communicate in English and French (Asset)
