DigitalFish has an immediate need for a  Tool Developer. 

You’ll begin by working on a cutting-edge Google ATAP project creating a new content-authoring and delivery environment for artists, driven and being used by former Pixar animators and directors. Initially you will be located at Google's main campus in Mountain View, with your permanent DigitalFish office located mid-Peninsula. Some of our other partners include LEGO, NASA, Pixar and DreamWorks, and you can expect to intersect with these other projects over time.

Responsibilities

• Execute upon and finalize implementation of wire-frame and conceptual UI designs using Python and the Qt GUI toolkit (via PySide).
• Work closely with the rest of the development team to integrate GUI components into the underlying system architecture.
• Design, document and implement artist-friendly UI elements.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ yrs professional GUI development on desktop applications and closely related software development experience
• BS/BA in Computer Science or related engineering field is preferred
• Experience in a customer-facing role, particularly if involving creative or other non-technical users
• Experience and knowledge of OOP, MVC architecture, IDEs, debugging, and optimization
• Practical knowledge and experience in C++, Python and Qt (PyQt or PySide desirable) development in a cross-platform environment
• Large-scale Python development a plus
• Good communication skills to work with distributed teams
• Experience with test-driven and Agile/Scrum development, source code control and QA processes
