Customer Experience Designer

Our New York studio is looking for a Customer Experience Designer to focus on creating the ideal experience for players for all studio games. As our Customer Experience Designer, your job will be to make sure that the consumer is at the heart of the "games as a service" experience. This position will collaborate with teams of top video game industry talent to create a high quality customer pathway within our mobile games.

Integrated in the creation team of the game, you will be in charge of designing an engaging pathway for the players, with customer psychology as a main focus, making sure all aspects are aligned to reach that goal: ergonomics, difficulty tuning, amount of free resources granted, and presentation of paid items.

The Customer Experience Designer must ensure a red carpet experience for players that will motivate players to expand their experience through in-app purchases. This designer will:

• Take ownership of the consumer pathway into our games
• Direct teams on best user experience practices by setting out guidelines for use throughout the development phase
• Provide relevant insight into human behavior in order to shape gameplay and customer experience
• Perform analyses on all aspects of gameplay
• Ensure that discussions with the creative teams lead to applicable proposals that account for gameplay and production constraints
• Describe the solutions in the game design documents (wire frames, functional specifications, storyboards, etc.) that will guide production
• Improve existing play testing methodologies while incorporating novel techniques to improve best practices

This position must have the ability to synthesize and create a harmonious balance between core gameplay mechanics and monetization methods to achieve a top quality experience for players that ultimately results in conversion to paying customer players.

• Graduate degree in Psychology
• Game design experience a big plus
• Empathy for player behaviors
• Understanding of social/mobile games and related monetization strategies
• Understanding of video game mechanics and gameplay
• Ability to plan, organize and complete multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
• Superior verbal and written communications skills
• Passion for mobile games!
