ABOUT THE JOB

Our new Seattle game development studio is looking for the right Technical Director to create top quality games, drive the technical direction of the studio, and mentor other developers to create exciting new and live mobile game title content. The right candidate will have a notable background in social and mobile games with strong experience working in C++ and OpenGL. 

Responsibilities:

Under the US Technical Director and Seattle Studio Manager, our Technical Director will spearhead technical aspects of new and live game projects, programming in all relevant technical languages (Obj-C, C/C++, OpenGL/OpenGL ES) for gameplay, AI, online networking, among other areas, and lead graphics programming efforts including:

• writing shaders to add higher quality effects to existing games
• optimizing 3D rendering to reach best possible FPS
• adapting graphical methods to different platforms to get the best performance
• analyzing existing games for ways to improve graphics quality

This position will also be responsible for proper training and career path mentoring of all technical staff. 

PROFILE

Required:

• 5+ years’ recent xp in the video game industry, including iOS or mobile games
• Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Senior level C/C++ and Objective C 
• 4-7 years xp in graphics 3D programming in OpenGL
• Advanced xp in core engine development and 3D programming
• Able to work independently and under pressure and produce results under tight schedules
• Able to optimize code size and speed to take full advantage of the capabilities of each platform
• Methodical and structured programming technique
• Advanced math skills
• Excellent written and verbal articulation with an ability to communicate with other disciplines
• Strong experience and comfort level with Agile development - certification preferred
• Ability to inspire and lead, not just manage, team members.
• Passion for creating video games!
