Audio Designer

Summary of Position:

NetherRealm Studios is seeking a temporary Audio Designer. The Audio Designer works with the Audio Director to design, develop and revise audio elements. The Audio Designer can be assigned to a specific project or rotate to another project as needs arise.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in designing creative, nuanced sound on schedule
• Proficiency in mixing cinemas with modern audio-post equipment such as Nuendo, Sound Forge, Vegas, Pro Tools, VST, TDM, and RTAS
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

• FMOD Designer
• Nuendo
• 5.1 mixing
• Degree in audio-related field
• Field recording: gear, techniques

Responsibilities:

• Creation of sound elements:
• Create timing-locked Foley for cut scenes
• Create compelling, original sound effects using multi-track software and audio processing plug-ins
• Record, edit and process character voices and dialogue
• Record sound sources in the field as needed
