Environment Artist
Description
SnowCastle Games is looking for a 3D Environment Artist to join us full time and in-house to work on Earthlock. If you’re awesome at building architecture, props and terrain for games we want to work with you!
Job description:
- Collaborate with the art team and game designer in developing environment assets.
- Model and texture clean environment assets from interior and exterior architecture through to organic terrain and props.
- Ability to work from concept art and find ways to make reusable kits for efficient level creation.
- Assist Art Director in outsourcing initiatives.
- Must be willing to relocate to Oslo, Norway (if you’re not already living here)
Qualifications:
- Environment modelling, unwrapping and texturing
- Strong understanding of architecture and landscapes
- Professional level of Maya/3DS MAX, sculpting-software and Photoshop. Maya/zBrush preferred.
- Knowledge of technical game asset pipelines and optimisation workflows.
- Unbridled enthusiasm for creating games.
- Be able to work in a flat company structure where priorities can change quickly.
Bonus round: - Experience with Lighting and VFX
- Experience with Level Design
- 3+ years of industry experience
- Experience working with Unity
- Shipped title(s) on console and/or PC/MAC
