Video Editor/Generalist
Description
Trek’s Video Editor/Generalist position is responsible for editing a broad range of consumer and retailer-facing videos, including tech, product development, and brand stories. The editor/generalist reports to the video producer, working in close collaboration with the video art director and with the marketing, product, and executive teams. Exceptional creative and storytelling abilities are a must, as is technical proficiency in front of the computer and behind the camera.
Edit and Post Production 70%
Edit both consumer and retailer-facing videos. Execute final production for digital output and exporting.
Collaborate 10%
Work with video art director, producer, 3D animator, and brand managers to develop story ideas and scripting.
Concept and Create 10%
Develop and create motion graphics and title treatments.
Shoot 10%
Operate canon and/or sony camera for basic shooting needs.
Responsiblities
Edit both consumer and retailer-facing videos videos, using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and more
Execute final production for digital output, including: color correction/ balance, sound design/audio mixing, and exporting
Ensure every video meets brand standards and is delivered on time
Concept and create motion graphics and title treatments to be used in both consumer and retailer-facing videos
Collaborate with in-house 3D artist/animator for tech featured videos
Collaborate with video art director, marketers, and producer for story ideas and scripting
Operate canon and/or sony camera for basic shooting most often used for recording meetings and/or company updates
Requirements
At least 3 years experience as an editor in some of the following industries: broadcast design, advertising, film, interactive, motion graphics, and/or graphic design
Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere (preferred) or Final Cut Pro
Motion graphics capabilities and strong experience with After Effects
Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator
Sound mixing ability using software such as SoundTrack Pro
Knowledge of most video codecs and formats and the ability to ingest, transcode, and move between camera workflows and formats flawlessly
Experience working with DSLR (canon 5D & 7D) camera and sony FS700 camera a plus
Knowledge of cycling culture/industry a plus
