Associate Producer

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment seeks an Associate Producer for the Production department. The Associate Producer supports the Executive Producer and the Producer with the day-to-day management of a high-profile videogame in development with an internal developer. Key responsibilities will be to a) create a master schedule (and keep updated) in Microsoft Project using key information from various functional groups aiding to get the product to market b) organize a variety of submissions materials for both first and third party partners across a number of different databases, and c) become proficient in gameplay to be able to give detailed demonstrations of the product at a number of events worldwide in support of and leading up to product launch. 

Project management-specific efforts also include assisting Executive Producer with team organization, cross-functional follow-ups and detail-oriented task tracking. Associate Producer-specific efforts also include assisting with localization efforts, assisting with first party submission and approval, working to help organize and coordinate voice sessions, supporting the legal team with rights/clearances issues and supporting Marketing and PR efforts as needed.

More Detail on 3 Key Responsibilities:
Master Schedule & Action Item tracking
Candidate must be an expert with MS Project and/or other scheduling tools such as Hansoft in order to take detailed information from a number of different sources and work it into one master schedule that can be updated and disseminated to key stakeholders at various key decision points throughout the project. This schedule not only encompasses production efforts, but also those of marketing, PR, trade, supply chain, Ops, Int’l and more. Candidate will also be responsible for note-taking in meetings and assisting the Executive Producer with tracking and following up on action items from each discussion. 

Licensor Submissions:
He or she will also work closely to secure assets from internal development and route to a number of external licensing partners (in their databases and ours) to organize and drive the overall approval process for the product. Meticulous attention to detail required to ensure files delivered to and from licensor are tracked properly and feedback is logged. Jira database entry and management is required. 

Game Demonstrations:
He or she will be required to give extensive gameplay demonstrations and presentations around the product in front of both large and small audiences of all different types in many different regions and countries around the world. A variety of public speaking opportunities, press interviews, retailer summits, trade shows and more will encompass a large segment of the candidate’s time towards the product’s launch window.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • College degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Game design/production training a plus.
  • Previous Associate Producer experience or equivalent with game developer or publisher.
  • Some Project Management experience ideal (doesn’t have to be in games).
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Project, Hansoft or other scheduling tools required and critical.
  • Seasoned gamer, comfortable with picking up and playing different types of product on the market.
  • Seasoned public speaker, comfortable with presenting to both large and small audiences of all types.
  • Previous game media training and/or press tour experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Jira, Confluence, SharePoint and/or other database software required.
  • 3+ years experience in console videogame game production; experience with shipped console/handheld games required.
  • Highly organized and self-directed; able to keep on an assigned track without supervision. Required.
  • Deadline driven and detail-oriented – a strategic thinker who also has a high attention to detail.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Online/internet skills.
  • Art background, including experience with Photoshop and/or Illustrator a plus.
  • Experience building complex PowerPoint presentations ideal.
  • Experience with SharePoint required.
  • Experience with Jira required.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and track comprehensive project schedules.
  • Experience collaborating with licensors and/or filmmakers on videogames a plus.
  • Previous experience in production on interactive products required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Established communication, people, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Must display resourcefulness, enthusiasm, and self-motivation.
  • Must set and achieve the highest standards.
  • Must be a strong, clear communicator. The ability to communicate with multiple teams is required, including: business development, marketing, PR, creative, QA, and more.
