Description
This is a long term position where you can work remotely but must be available to work core day hours and communicate with team daily via Skype.
Job Requirements:
· Extensive knowledge of Unity 4.6+ especially Mecanim
·
At least 1 shipped mobile title in a lead role
·
At least 3 years’ experience in the game industry
·
A good understanding of character rigging
in both Max
and Maya. This includes a
fundamental understanding of the technical processes involved, functionality
and requirements, with mobile restrictions in mind.
·
Organizational skills for tracking and tasking work in Google
Spreadsheets or equivalent
·
Effective communication skills in
coordinating with other departments
Primary responsibilities:
·
Manage a team of animators in
the creation of character animation in a variety of stylistic genres, from
cartoon to realistic, mechanical to fluid, humanoid to creature
·
Be responsible for the animation pipeline and work with tech artists and
programmers to develop and improve the workflow.
·
Organize and manage the Animation team including scheduling and
reporting
·
Meet project deadlines/milestones, as set
by the production schedule
·
Take initiative to resolve art pipeline
issues by researching, identifying and implementing solutions designed to
streamline the art process and enhance productivity within the studio.
·
Maintain and communicate a strong
knowledge of innovative production technologies they relate to project goals
with other departments.
·
Actively promote and communicate
effective solutions to technical and design issues related to animation.
