Game Community Manager

Description

Gameloft, an international publisher and developer of video games for smartphones, console, tablets and feature phones, is seeking a gifted Game Community Manager to join our growing team.

 

Under the supervision of the Product Manager, the Game Community Manager is the representative of consumers within Gameloft teams and is responsible for animating and building engagement with our players using all relevant channels. The successful candidate will manage, launch, promote and sustain the communities for a portfolio of social free-to-play games. This role is located in our production studio in Toronto but you will also work and coordinate with our international teams including but not limited to Marketing Managers, Web Development studios, Video Production studios, Artists, Community Managers and Customer Care Managers.

 

Responsibilities:

The GCM closely collaborates with the relevant people from the game team, support teams and customer care, in order to make sure all players concerns are addressed and solved. The GCM also defines and executes the Community Management activity in their games.

 

Define & implement community actions

·Be responsible for the community management activity of their games whatever the channel: in game, Facebook, forums, Twitter, Games’ pages on the stores

·Run animations for the community: editorial, contest, polls or any other content in order to capture the interest for each gaming community and contribute to a better engagement and viralization

·Network with community members and identify community leaders. Train and empower community leaders to participate on a more significant engagement level

·Provide customer support in order to help them in their needs: the GCM is the main point of contact between players and the team

 

Consumer satisfaction

·Identify most typical issues based on the feedbacks of the community and the internal reports (stores reviews, escalations from Customer Care agent) and escalates them. Coordinate with relevant teams to define a consistent consumer policy on all levels and topics: piracy, compensation, etc.

·Responsible for maintaining, updating & sharing a  game database accessible by the Game Team, the Customer Care Agents and all the marketing local teams

 

Monitoring & Reporting

·Identifies and reports trends in usage and advises the Game Team on potential opportunities

·Monitor and moderate discussions, resource postings, within the community of their games on internal & external channels including stores

·Monitor and measure the success of community engagement (I.E number of fans, engagement, reach, and any other pre-defined KPI) reporting to Product Managers and sharing with all the game team members

·Report activity, results to the Product Manager (local)

  

Qualifications

 

·1 to 3 years of experience in community management or social marketing and/or blogging and/or copywriting 

·Passion for games and nice to have: a good video game experience (knowledge of game styles and gaming experiences)

·Postgraduate diploma in Communication, Marketing, Foreign Languages a plus

·Excellent command of English language, both verbal & written is a must (second language is a BIG plus)

·Computer Literate (Internet Browsing, Windows, MS Office, Photoshop)

·Outstanding communication skills with an ability to think out of the box
