About the Position

Nerd Corps Interactive is looking for a quality assurance (QA) tester to help us improve our popular mobile and web games. The ideal candidate understands the importance of quality assurance and will work diligently to execute test plans and report product defects with great attention to detail. You are able to follow instructions well and are able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. We want you to help us deliver the best experience possible for our players!

Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans and summarize the results
  • Report and manage product defects with a high level of detail
  • Work with customer support to identify game issues
  • Help prioritize and escalate defects that need immediate attention
  • Carry out duties in a professional and positive manner
  • Be a positive and creative force on the team

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months experience in QA
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the games industry
  • Able to work independently but also collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to take direction well and execute on a project with limited supervision
  • Able to communicate in a professional and positive manner
  • Able to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas
  • Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Able to work alone and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure
  • Encourage feedback and new initiatives
  • Must be open to direction and able to embrace change

Not essential, but would be great assets

  • Experience with iOS or Android platforms
  • Experience with Unity3D
  • Experience working with test automation and automation tools
