Disney Research is a network of research laboratories at The Walt Disney Company. At Disney Research, a broad range of unique commercial opportunities leads to diverse research concentrations. We have proficiency in Computer Graphics, Video Processing, Computer Vision, Robotics, Radio and Antennas, Wireless Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, and Behavioral Sciences, with developing competency in areas such as data mining and displays.
 
We encourage active engagement with the global research community through peer-reviewed publication, university collaboration, and leadership service with technical conferences and journals. We actively patent our inventions and discoveries.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct complex, advanced research on areas of interest to Disney Research and the Business Units that provide funding to Disney Research
  • Develop new and advanced cutting-edge techniques and algorithms
  • Survey relevant technologies and stay abreast of latest developments in those
  • Develop and implement demo systems in software and hardware
  • Make research contributions including preparing reports, papers for publication, presentation, and technical documents
  • Participate in relevant conferences, workshops and other academic-industrial events and prepare reports for attended events
  • Draft and submit patents based on research
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • To include deep expertise in 1 or more areas of knowledge of Robotics, RFID, Behavioral Social Sciences, Computer Vision, Graphics Video Process wireless technology, displays.
  • Required Education:
  • PHD or significant industrial experience
