Disney Research is a network of research laboratories at The Walt Disney Company. At Disney Research, a broad range of unique commercial opportunities leads to diverse research concentrations. This position conducts research on topics relevant to Disney Research in collaboration with the Research Scientists.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research on topics relevant to Disney Research in collaboration with a senior researcher (RS and above)
Develop new and advanced cutting-edge techniques and algorithmsSurvey relevant technologies and stay abreast of latest developments in the fieldDevelop and implement demo systems in software and hardwareIndependently make research contributions including preparing reports, papers for publication, presentation, and technical documentsParticipate in relevant conferences, workshops and other academic-industrial eventsDraft and submit patents based on researchPossess ability to grasp The Walt Disney Company business challenges and opportunities within business unitsMentor Lab Associates and InternsBasic Qualifications:
Publication record required
Ability to communicate within and across Disney Research and some external communication with business unitsAbility to influence Research directionPreferred Qualifications:
Some academic research experience preferred
Required Education:
Ph.D. in relevant field (or all requirements completed and degree expected within six months)
