VFX Artist - Strategy Games (m/f)

As a VFX Artist – Strategy Games (m/f), your primary task will be modeling and texturing game assets. You will create reference materials and objects, introduce your own ideas, and ensure that the style of our products remains consistent. We are looking for someone with an impressive portfolio and some experience as a VFX artist.

Your job:

Create VFX (particles/shaders/mesh deformation) in Unity and Maya/3D Studio Max

Design top quality low poly environments and textures for the low poly assets

Enter the assets into Unity in consultation with the developers

Collaborate closely with 2D artists to create geometric effects/shapes

Your profile:

Completed degree or equivalent training in graphic design, ideally with a focus on 3D art

Several years of well-founded professional experience, preferably in the mobile gaming industry

In-depth knowledge of how to work with the Unity 3D engine

Experience in Unreal Engine 4 or similar engines is beneficial

Very good knowledge of Maya or 3D Studio Max and Photoshop

Experience with Zbrush, other 3D programs are advantageous

You have a keen sense of realism, and an ability to adapt different art styles is also beneficial

Scripting in Python and Mel is a plus
