Lead Software Engineer

Autodesk’s Consumer and 3D Printing Group is seeking a creative, technical savvy, and highly motivated software engineer for its video and graphic design apps and services working out of our San Francisco offices.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will lead a team that will be building apps that allow the next generation of digital artists to shine and show off with cutting-edge applications for video creating, editing and visual story telling from desktop to mobile to web.

You are a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and you are very comfortable working with executives, product and engineering staff on all levels. You have the ability to grasp and quickly distill highly complex problems and opportunities into solutions and watch them go from conception to deployment in weeks, not months or years.

Your eye for aesthetics is well developed, and you have an acute attention to detail. You are passionate about the end user experience.

You will be a member of a highly skilled and motivated agile product team working closely with design, product management, customer excellence and data analysts to understand requirements, user behaviour and translate them into delightful implementations. You feel comfortable in a collaborative environment with a cross-functional team.

Qualifications
Degree in computer engineering/science/?math? or equivalent work experience
4+ years as a software engineer, with experience managing projects & teams
Deep knowledge in Image Processing, Objective-C, C++, GPU / Graphics programming and hardware acceleration
Experience developing native applications for the iOS and Mac platforms
Experience with graphics programming, rendering and compositing
Familiarity with graphics and web formats - SVG, PDF, HTML, CSS, a plus
Experience with Windows and Android application development, a plus
Understood the engineering aspects of software development (unit testing, continuous integration, version compatibilities, code reviews, design docs)
Solid familiarity with agile development processes and methodologies
Proven ability to understand the big picture and where your code and contribution fits into the architecture
A history of creating and executing amazing apps on a variety of OS platforms and form factors
Enthusiasm for the arts like photography, video editing, graphic design.
