Professor of Performing Arts

Description

Join a dedicated performing arts team and help students develop skills in an environment where professional training for a career in film, television and theater are emphasized. SCAD Savannah seeks candidates for a full-time faculty position in the performing arts department.
This is your chance to work with talented students within the historic district of Savannah, Georgia, a walkable, bikeable coastal city that provides a living laboratory for the study of art and design.

Requirements:

- Terminal degree or its equivalent in performing arts or related field
- Film/television on-camera credits
- Ability to teach on-camera acting techniques
- Industry experience as actor, director or casting director
- Ability to teach undergraduate students in fundamental performance classes
- Experience teaching acting at all levels is a plus
- SAG/AFTRA membership preferred
- Industry connections preferred
