Starting with our first game, Blood through to our most recent title, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor which has been awarded with numerous Game of the Year Awards, including Gamespot, Joystiq and IGN as well as Best Action/Adventure Game at the 2014 Game Awards.

Monolith
Productions, a division of WB Games Inc., seeks an System Designer to work
closely with the Design and Production staff to create and maintain high
quality game play system components. The System Designer is responsible for
collaborating with the rest of the design team, artists, and engineers to
ensure their functional, fun, and meet with the needs of the design leadership.
This position will also work with the QA and Playtest groups throughout
development to address critical feedback and make sure their levels play and
perform as intended.
Job Responsibilities
-Work with Designers, Game play engineers and content
teams to create and maintain system components and manage data structures using
proprietary WB tools and industry standard software.
-Work closely with members of their strike
team, including programmers and artists, to achieve the vision dictated by design
leadership.
-Help create and maintain living design documentation
that keeps pace with the project's progress and accurately conveys all
necessary information to Design, Art, and Programming.
-Investigate and resolve game play issues identified by
QA or team members during daily play through.
JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Work Experience
· 1-3 years of game design experience required.
· Previous experience with combat and AI design.
· Previous
experience managing and tuning complex systems or behaviors.
· Experience working in the game industry.
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or
Certification
· Engineering
or technical background preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
· Passion
for game design.
· Attention
to detail.
· Self-motivated,
has initiative to learn with minimal direction.
· Strong
verbal and written communication skills.
· Positive
attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative
team environment.
· Knowledge
of the action/adventure and/or open world game genres.
