Purpose of the job:         

The Cloth/Hair Technical Director partners with peers and show Leads to rig and simulate digital wardrobes, hair styles, and fur while developing and maintaining tools, methodologies, and the pipeline for production based needs.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

·         Will simulate clothing and/or groom hairstyles based on reference and artistic direction

·         Run simulations for shot production

·         Collaborates on the creation of tools and methodologies for a show based cloth and hair pipeline

·         Provide troubleshooting and problem solving support

Qualifications:

 Education and/or Experience Required:

·         3+ years of production experience as a Technical Director, ideally with a focus on simulation

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or comparable work experience

   Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificate: 

·         Ability to work as a team player in a high pressure, deadline driven environment

·         Expertise in Maya

·         Proficiency in Python and Mel

·         Strong communication skills

·         Strong problem solving skills
