Head of Production

Job Introduction

Toonbox Entertainment, leading CGI animation production in Toronto, producer of award winning "The Nut Job" and "Bolts and Blip", is looking for Head of Production and Development who can oversea and manage production of all animation projects company has in lineup for its production.

Role Responsibility

  • Responsible for production supervision as Head of Production for current project "The Nut Job 2" and its productions in development.
  • Lead and manage voice casting, voice recording, music, sound, main production including inhouse and outsourcing, and post production of the film, from development stage to its delivery.
  • Seek not only writers, but casting director, voice talents, music supervisor, music composer, post production supervisor, and post house for the film.
  • Work in cooperation with Executive Producers, Directors and Producers for efficient and smooth production and delivery, inclusive of making decisions regarding vendors and independent contractors.
  • Oversee Production HR, manager Producers, Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Production Coordinator for better and efficient control of project budget and its schedule.
  • Run daily meetings with Directors, Producers, each departments’ Supervisors and Leads to plan and adjust the production planning and execute this plan in timely manner.
  • Communicate with other Executive producers and investors for regular basis to report production status and all issue in production.
  • Seek and hire Development writer(s), designer(s) to work on future projects and develop world-class quality animation projects for company's future production.
  • To build a collaborative team that meets the needs of stakeholders and the audience, possessing strong leadership, organization and advanced influencing skills.

Qualification

  • 5+ years of extensive experience of feature film animation production throughout its development to delivery and sales/ distribution.
  • Substantial knowledge of end-to-end multi-platform production with a level of technical understanding, excellent business and finance skills, and extensive knowledge of commissioning and green lighting production in development.
  • Experience in leading large and diverse teams across and abroad range of output and locations, alongside proven experience of leading change and continuous improvement programs.
  • Good understanding of the competitive challenges of your genre and a track record in delivering business growth.

Yearly Salary: min. $150000 max. $200000 for 40.0 hours per week
