Ex'pression College in Emeryville is seeking for faculty to teach in the areas of Game Design, Art, Programming and Development. 


Ex'pression College is currently enhancing the curriculum in the area of games development alongside our current Game Art program, and are looking to build a strong team of faculty to lead students through the processes of game design, project management, production pipelines and various technical skills. Key skills will be project leadership and team management in a game development environment in addition to classroom management and administration of education. 

The ideal candidate will possess several (but not necessarily all) of the skills listed below, alongside the ability to manage and motivate teams working on small to medium scale game projects over a number of weeks. 

Technical skills: 
  • Game Design from concept to product (iterative design, level design, player-centric design, balancing, playtesting etc)
  • Programming for games (C# will be our main focus)
  • Game Engine experience: UnrealEngine 4 and/or Unity3D
  • 2D art skills (Concept through digital illustration in Photoshop)
  • 3D art skills (Concept through production in Maya or 3DS Max)
  • Other art production software & techniques (Substance, Mudbox, ZBrush, SpeedTree, Nuke, AfterEffects etc)
  • Interactive Audio (Wwise, FMOD)
  • Story Writing, Character Development
  • Development support skills: version control, asset management, team organisation & communication methodologies
  • Agile/Scrum or similar project management
All candidates should possess exceptional communication skills, leadership abilities, and a high level of organization and attention to detail.

You will also hold a Master's degree qualification in a related field, and ideally have several years' experience in games development industry. Experience with curriculum development is beneficial but not necessary.
