About the Position

We are currently reviewing applications from artists interested in joining our team as Layout Artists to join our 2D team! You should be well-rounded, a skilled illustrator, have a strong sense of timing for animation, an eye for appealing, funny, poppy and snappy posing, and (ideally) previous experience on at least one animated television series. 

Responsibilities

• Working under the direction of the Layout Supervisors to create high quality 2D Flash animation sequence by finding the storytelling poses from the board, improving upon them, and putting them on model
• Spelling out complex actions in a variety of ways for the next stage in the pipeline (animation) using existing character and prop builds
• Drawing in Flash to create designs/poses for animation sequences and layouts
• Working within production deadlines to meet assigned weekly quotas and expectations
• Working collaboratively in a team environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Animator or Layout Artist on a 2D series (Flash or Harmony) preferred
• Skilled at creating poses using Flash character builds
• Strong sense of acting, staging, posing, timing, and the ability to stay on model
• Degree/Diploma from a recognized animation school
• Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner
