Lead Artist - Chinese Projects

Triotech is currently seeking a lead artist for our Chinese projects who is experienced, motivated, and has excellent knowledge of Chinese culture, to join our Montreal creative team.

Under the supervision of the creative director, the lead artist – Chinese projects, will have for task to centralize all objects and 3D characters, build and populate environments for our interactive films so in the end, we have a culturally appropriate product for our Chinese clientele.

The lead artist will also, in collaboration with the project managers, take 3D productions externally with different providers for the several Chinese projects developped at Triotech.

Eventually, the lead artist - Chinese projects will have a dedicated team and will support the development of complete attractions.

The person holding this position will be expected to travel to China. These trips will become increasingly recurrent with advancement of projects.

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of Chinese culture is essential

• Having lived in China is an important asset

• Be able to complete work according to a priority schedule and under pressure

• Know how to integrate a team and become a leader and an invaluable contributor

• Be able to work well with stakeholders from other departments on the same projects

• Possess excellent communication skills

• Demonstrate autonomy

• Possess organizational and time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask

• Have team spirit, great energy and excellent work ethic

• Be curious and creative

• Proficiency in Mandarin (oral and written)

• Proficiency in English (oral and written)

• Profiency in French (oral and written)

• Master Software : 3D Studio Max and Photoshop

• 5 years of experience in modeling / texture / management

• Critical and artistic direction, knowledge of composition, perspective, lighting, colors, etc.

• Visual culture (art, comics, movies, video games, etc.)

• General culture

• Rigour in work, attention to detail

• Timeliness
