Purdue Polytechnic – West Lafayette – Clinical Assistant Professor
The Department of Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue
University has a full-time opening on the West Lafayette, Indiana campus,
beginning in August 2016. This position is for a Clinical Assistant Professor.
The Visual Effects Compositing program at the West Lafayette location is a
growing program.
The successful candidate for this position will be required to
teach a variety of courses including but not limited to visual effects
compositing, technical directing, node-based compositing, fluid simulations,
destruction simulations, effects technical directing, and other subjects in the
effects technical direction curriculum.
The candidate will also be expected to serve the university
community by participating in committees, recruiting activities, student
advising, engagement efforts with the local industry, develop curricular
materials and laboratory experiences, and assessment activities intended to
maintain accreditation. Applicants must have at least a master’s degree, with
preference given to candidates with a PhD in computer graphics, computer
science, effects technical direction or a related discipline. Credited work
experience, in the role of a technical director or compositor, in an
effects-heavy major motion film required.
