As Art Director (m/f) in one of our game development studios, you will serve as the go-to expert in your discipline, collaborate with the Product Lead and Head of Studio on all matters relating to game art, and lead a team of artists.
YOUR JOB:
- Develop and manage an art team comprised of concept, 3D, and UI artists
- Actively take part in the game development process to ensure that we create a clear artistic vision for each game
- Take responsibility for leading the artists to ensure that their output consistently matches the agreed artistic vision and quality of the game
- Lead by example, work hands-on, and coach the team
- Oversee all art hiring, training, development, and resourcing for your team
- Work with our HR department and peers from other studios to address training and development requirements
- Exchange ideas and best practices with Art Directors from other studios as well as your team
YOUR PROFILE:
- Several years of professional experience as an Art Director and team leader
- Experience working with RPG titles, preferably also in a AAA environment
- Artistic vision and great technical skills with an eye for detail
- Relevant 3D art and animation experience, good knowledge in the areas of concept art/2D/3D
- Desire to understand our customers’ preferences and the ability to produce appealing art
- Willingness to contribute beyond the assigned tasks and actively seek responsibility
- Good communication and organizational skills, preferably experience working in an agile project environment
- Very good knowledge of English
