Description
CoSA VFX is looking for a Los Angeles-based Assistant Technical Director. A successful candidate will be highly
motivated, eager to learn and love problem solving while projecting a
helpful, patient and accommodating demeanor. CoSA pipeline staff are
service-oriented and involved in the creation and ongoing support of a large
high-end visual effects pipeline, asset/project management system as well as
application tools and utilities.
Our
company is a fast-paced and highly collaborative production environment. Recent
projects include Westworld, Gotham, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Stranger Things.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain scripts, tools and utilities for CoSA’s
studio
Work in and understand CoSA’s proprietary pipeline
Collaborate in the continued development and maintenance of
the pipeline
Assist artists in technical issues such as software
debugging or other pipeline related issues
Act as a point person for in-studio queries to the pipeline
department
Identify workflow inefficiencies and work with artists and
stakeholders to improve these inefficiencies
Requirements:
Substantial experience using and designing tools for Maya,
Houdini a plus
Familiarity with V-Ray and/or Redshift rendering software
Skilled python programming experience. (C++, MEL, and/or
java a plus)
Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of creative project (Ftrack, Shotgun) and/or asset
management
