Hydraulx VFX is looking for an accomplished Motion Capture Artist to join our dynamic creative team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Facial Mocap cleaning and editing.
• Facial Mocap development and maintenance.
• Develop, maintain and debug existing Mocap tools.
• Integration of Rigs and Animations into a shot.
• Effectively economize, manage and troubleshoot Mocap issues.
• Ability to perform tasks independently.
• On-time delivery.
• Work closely with both 3D Supervisors and Animation team to fulfill the requirements of the project’s design.

Required Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of industry art, animation or motion capture experience preferred.
• Degree with an emphasis on animation or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of Animation fundamentals, theories and techniques.
• Experience in Motion Capture software package, MotionBuilder preferable.
• Skilled in Maya animation and facial rigging.
• Understanding of facial anatomy.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and problem solve.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player spirit.

• MUST have flexible schedule, and be willing to work some weekends.
• MUST be a BC resident, and be eligible to work in Canada.
