WRITER / NARRATIVE DESIGNER

Summary:
Firaxis Games is looking for a writer / narrative designer.  We’re looking for someone with current game development and game writing experience. The ideal candidate is creative, highly articulate, and capable of collaborating with designers to generate original ideas for characters, content, and narrative that fuels the imagination. They must have a strong understanding of story and drama expressed through the video game medium and be capable of contributing in multiple genres.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

• Creative and narrative development for game story, characters, and various game systems
• Writing character dialog, flavor text, and supporting various game systems’ narrative needs
• Editing the writing of others for stylistic consistency, historical, and technical accuracy

Requirements:

• 2+ years as a Writer, Narrative Designer, or other position with commensurate duties for at least one shipped AAA game
• Experienced with video game localization process & limitations
• Experienced with using game development tools to work directly within tools / scripts
