Description
Cloud Imperium is looking for a DevOps Engineer to work on our exciting PC space combat sim, Star Citizen! The DevOps Engineer will work in a cooperative, cross-disciplinary team environment to make the deployment and management of Cloud Imperium’s game service efficient and durable.
Responsibilities:
• Running large scale deployments to public cloud environments
• Virtual server maintenance
• Performance monitoring
• Respond to alerts and notifications providing escalation when necessary
• Documenting systems and processes
Requirements:
• Experience running linux servers in production environments
• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, Ruby, or Go against public vendor APIs
• Understanding the basics of database administration and networking
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
• Experience with configuration management tools which can include Chef, Puppet, Salt, and/or Ansible
• Experience working in a production environment on cloud providers like Google Compute, Rackspace Cloud, or Amazon AWS
• International travel may be required as part of the role
Pluses:
• Experience in Game Publishing
• Understanding of service-oriented architectures, container-based deployment, or microservices concepts
• Understanding of NoSQL database concepts
• Perforce or other source control systems
• Advanced Networking and or security experience
• Working with several remote teams and offices located across the world
