Help Desk Supervisor / Systems Administrator

HELP DESK SUPERVISOR / SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Summary: 

Primary job functions will be to oversee systems and manage our Help Desk staff. Applicants will be highly motivated and organized, able to work as part of a team, and willing to learn from a talented and diverse team around them. Reports to the IT Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Active Directory maintenance, user creation and group administration, including MS Exchange attributes
  • Manage staff of three
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues in Las Vegas office with the helpdesk and systems teams
  • Monitor, troubleshoot & escalate when required, including Aspera, IIS/Web interfaces, Network Attached Storage, etc.
  • Building and deploying computer workstations and associated software packages
  • Maintain backup strategy
  • Working with computer workstation hardware and putting together computer workstations
  • Working with TCP/IP based networking products
  • Provide timely and creative solutions to difficult problems
  • Manage hardware inventories to organize, label, and provide asset tracking for various computer and A/V hardware

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age of 18 years and above
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in systems administration and help desk services
  • Proven management/supervisory experience within an IT environment
  • Expert level Active Directory Administration
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Windows and Macintosh operating systems
  • Possess a thorough understanding of principles of TCP/IP based networks
  • Knowledge of computer workstation functionality and components
  • Dedication, teamwork and professionalism
  • The ability to handle high pressure situations and deal with ambiguity
  • Possess a thorough understanding of consumer-level audio, video, and home theater equipment including the ability to hook up, manage, and tear down A/V equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable, and can be counted on to work all scheduled work days
  • Will need to be able to work flexible hours, rotating & on-call schedules
  • Capable of working any mandatory overtime; which can occur during the work week, weekends, and occasional holidays
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, climb ladders, crawl under desks, walk to all departments and work over head
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and occasionally lift more than 50 lbs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Some familiarity of game development systems is advantageous
  • Familiarity with hardware/software asset tracking and inventory systems
  • Interest and knowledge of video games and game development
