What We Need:
We are looking to recruit top talent to be part of a new team that will focus on architecting, scaling, and maintaining the infrastructure supporting 2K’s gaming environment. This team will work closely with some of the world’s most talented game development studios (such as Visual Concepts, Firaxis, and Hangar 13) to design and implement stable and scalable systems and services that support a large number of concurrent persistent connections. The team will implement dynamic and cutting edge technology solutions to support some of the biggest and best franchises in gaming (such as NBA2K, Evolve, and Civilization). The Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing all facets of systems and storage, and accompanying applications. You will work closely with development teams to develop, deploy, and support applications in accordance with industry standards and best practices. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in “non-silo’d” environments and have an appetite to research, test, and implement new technologies. You should have a heart of humility and come with a readiness to be an active team member.

Job Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Day to day administration of Windows and Linux servers (physical and VM), including related applications
  • Manage backups using Netbackup, SnapMirror / SnapVault, Glaciar
  • Manage Perforce Code Repository
  • Manage and maintain local site storage environment including NetApp and Compellent hardware
  • Manage and support local site VMWare multi-cluster environment
  • Manage and maintain DB back-ups / replication
  • Perform Level 1 to Level 2 administration of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Provide timely and creative solutions to difficult problems

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a thorough understanding of backups, Active Directory, code versioning systems
  • Powershell scripting abilities are a high priority.
  • General DB administration skills.
  • 5+ years’ experience with VMware, and standards such as DHCP, DNS, DFS, LDAP, IPSEC, CIFS, SMB, etc.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of principles of TCP/IP based networks
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work calmly in high pressure situations and manage multiple ongoing projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, relevant certifications, or equivalent experience
