Assistant Professor of Theatre
Description
Regent University’s College of Arts & Sciences is seeking to fill a
full-time, tenure-track faculty position. This position will be located at Regent University’s Virginia Beach
campus.
Qualifications: an earned PhD or
MFA in Theatre, Film or Communication from a regionally accredited
institution. The candidate will have a
strong historical and theoretical background and be able to teach dramatic
literature and theatre history. A
specialization in areas of performance arts is also required. Willingness to function collaboratively in an
institution dedicated to rigorous and life-transforming education is necessary. Candidates will be expected to teach
on-campus courses and to develop, review, and update curriculum.
Expectations include: 1) a
dedication to Christ-centered teaching and learning; 2) a record of or
potential for academic scholarship; 3) the ability to teach undergraduate level
and graduate-level courses; 4) experience with online instructional technology;
and 5) a willingness to enthusiastically embrace the College and University
