Video Editing Coordinator/Logger
Description
The Video Editing Coordinator provides operational support to the Lucasfilm Video Production asset management & production teams.
- Thoroughly log assets with clearly defined metadata in the Avid Interplay system in order to make all Behind the Scenes (BTS) material easily searchable by members of editorial
- Transcribe key cast & crew interviews
- Handle & pull selects for film production BTS asset requests or review
- In partnership with Sr Creative Producer and Lead Video Content Creative, assist in creation of story / concept ideas, pitch sheets, briefs, or presentations for BTS content based on existing BTS material
- Quickly communicate concerns regarding needed or missing BTS content
- Monitor and report out on BTS status to internal teams
- Effectively interact with internal and external clients, as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in video production, editorial, or post-production
- Minimum 1 year experience at major entertainment company, or agency, strongly preferred
- Capability of editing on an Avid a plus
- Knowledge of Star Wars universe strongly preferred
- Extremely strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong communicator – both written and verbal
- Capable of making sound decisions in the absence of detailed instructions
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple demands with professional diplomacy
- Flexible, receptive, and open to change
- Self-directed, detail-oriented and a problem solver with a desire to contribute to a uniquely creative environment
