Post Production Coordinator - PROJECT

Post Production Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Post Production Manager for all animated content projects for Lucasfilm Animation. Provide administrative and scheduling support regarding internal services and external vendors. Support the editorial teams and production as needed.


  • Support Post Production Manager and show Producers across all Post duties, including:
  • Assist with maintaining post production schedules; organizing meetings for Lucasfilm Animation production and vendors to facilitate effective communication and operations.
  • Managing conference & screening room bookings; liaising directly with clients to arrange shipping of delivery items.
  • Assist with ensuring day-to-day operations are on track, as required, when Post Production Manager is off site.
  • Help schedule and facilitate all internal Post facilities such as editorial suites, Color Correction Suite, and master control room operations (MCR).
  • Under Post Production Manager supervision, specifically assist with managing & navigating editorial and MCR priorities; assist with technical QC of all materials out of Editorial post production related and MCR, and delivery to clients. Maintain timely and accurate updates for productions.
  • Work closely with Post Production Manager to improve workflows and increase efficiency within Animation division

Education / Experience:


  • Bachelors Degree in Film or related field desired, or equivalent experience.
  • Any production or post-production media acquisitions experience (e.g., timecode, logging, capturing).

Required Skills / Competencies:

  • 3+ years’ experience in animation environment or post production environment, ideally at coordinator level or above.
  • Ability to develop and document workflows.
  • Proficient with Google Apps for Work, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Must be capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, communication, and follow up/follow through skills required.
  • Needs to demonstrate a high level of initiative, flexibility and confidentiality. Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently within a high-pressure, fast paced environment while meeting strict deadlines. 

Preferred Skills / Competencies:

  • Avid experience, Final Cut or Adobe Premier experience a plus.
  • Filemaker Pro, Shotgun or database experience a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledgeable with Avid Media/Film Composer or other non-linear editing system.
