SAN FRANCISCO Technology Coordinator
Description
As part of ILM’s Technology’s project management team, the Technology Coordinator acts as a significant point of information for assigned Technology departments. Primary emphasis is on scheduling, communication and coordination for a project or multiple projects. Works closely with management, technical supervisors, artists and project managers to coordinate support requests. Ensures a “quality of service” by following up on open issues and making sure requests are properly handled in a timely manner.
- Maintain and communicate schedules and project data in all technology systems and communication channels for the project management team, project leads, and supervisors
- Ensure data integrity across multiple sources and tools including: published schedules, bug and task management system, vacation calendar and notes from production and team meetings
- Act as liaison between project management team and productions by conveying the status of support issues, schedule changes and development progress
- Partner with production in meeting preparation, ensuring that agendas are updated, issues are followed up on and publishing meeting notes as needed
- Handles basic administrative tasks for the department, including facilitating seating for new-hires, managing scheduling for guests and vendors visits, maintaining supply orders for the department, etc.
- Ensure that support requests are prioritized and tracked
- Manage the support rotation schedule on a weekly basis including updating the support webpage
- Generate occasional reports
- Special projects as necessary
Education / Experience:
- BA or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years’ experience in similar role
Required Skills / Competencies:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to self-motivate and meet deliverables while working independently
- Passion for details
- Must have a desire to learn new software as needs arise
Preferred Skills / Competencies:
- Experience with Linux, Wordpress and bug-tracking databases
- Experience in Film/Entertainment/Games production environment
- Experience in a commercial software development environment
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project or other project management tools
