Back-End Developer

Purpose of the
job:
The
Back End Developer position will be part of our core Web Operations Team.
|
|
Essential
Functions/Responsibilities:
- Work with the Director of Technology to design and
implement scalable solutions for data storage, analytics, and VR/360 video
streaming
- Participate in discussions with the front end
developers and design team to ensure designs are technically feasible and
performant
- Assist with code reviews for team member contributions
|
|
Education,
Experience, and Skills Required:
- 3+ years of experience doing backend web development
- Experience working with Javascript ES6 in a production
environment
- Experience working on a shared codebase in a team
environment
- Strong knowledge of Node.js
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux administration
- Experience working with noSQL databases such as
MongoDB
Education,
Experience, and Skills Recommended:
- Experience with rethinkDB
- Experience working with cloud hosted services such as
AWS
- Familiarity with automated test frameworks such as Mocha

Working Conditions
and Environment/Physical Demands:
- This position will involve working remotely.
- Hours for
this position are based on normal working hours but will require extra hours
pending production needs
- Walking/bending/sitting
|
