x]cube GAMES, a mobile games company with a creative bent and an aggressive entrepreneurial spirit, is expanding its US studio with the addition of a full-time 2-D Artist to work from the Dallas headquarters. POSITION  

2-D Artist, Games (full-time)

REPORTS TO 

Art Director

RESPONSIBILITY 

• You are a cartoonist, an illustrator, adept with a pen (and mouse!), so do what you do best!
• Use your skills to create artwork for new game concepts for iOS + Android apps
• Render concept art for existing games, and for new pitch presentations.
• Collaborate with team, from ideation through game development, release, and support.
• Work closely with a distributed team of Game Designers, Artists, Producers, and Developers both in Dallas and Hyderabad to explore and create new features, content, and graphic assets for mobile games.

EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years experience in a game studio, design shop, animation studio, or other professional environment.
• A passion for games, and specifically mobile games, is a must.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Very creative person with strong visual thinking skills. 
• A whiz illustrator, who's knowledge of art styles and methods spans the gamut.
• Flexibility to lead projects spanning a wide breadth of visual styles.
• Must have strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
• Work well in a collaborative environment, and open to feedback. 
• Ability to work with a global team. 
• Proactive problem-solving skills.
• Thoughtfulness towards teamwork & team leadership.

LEVEL UP!

Experience in the mobile-games industry is a plus.

Bonus skills include: animation, UI/UX design, 3-D modeling, game design/development…
