LEAD ENGINEER
SGI Pixel, a New York City-based incubator, is seeking an experienced full-stack engineer to join our rapid product development group. As lead engineer, you will collaborate with our product, design and development teams to create cutting-edge platforms, mobile apps and games. Responsibilities will include:
- Development of the core infrastructure behind web and mobile applications
- Develop APIs and integrate with existing SAAS APIs
- Build-out photoshop designs into working interfaces
- Develop and manage the hosting, analytics and cloud infrastructure for in-house platforms
- Build UGC platforms driven by / integrated with mobile apps from scratch
- Auxiliary development tasks including email blasts, reports, control panels, automations
Required Experience:
- 10+ years as experience full-stack engineer (LAMP) and AWS
- 5+ years experience developing hybrid mobile app / web platforms
- 5+ years experience coding front-end interfaces with javascript/css/html
- Experience developing APIs and analytics platforms
Term and compensation
This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of ongoing work after the initial contract period is over. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Location
The idea candidate would be located in New York City. However, SGI Pixel utilizes a cloud-based workflow -- including Slack, GitHub and Basecamp -- that allows for telecommuting for the right candidate.
