Operations Coordinator
Description
Purpose of the job:
The Operations Coordinator works with the
department Managers and Production teams in our Commercials and Features
divisions to coordinate the scheduling and resource allocation process for
all projects. Identifies appropriate
resources to accommodate production needs across all projects while
maximizing the utilization of existing resources within the facility.

Essential
Functions/Responsibilities:
- Attends weekly staffing
and scheduling meetings and assists in coordinating others to participate in
the breakdown and staffing of VFX work
- Works with department
Managers to identify artists for upcoming work
- Reviews all digital
staff assignments, updates database, and communicates updates to Producers
and Managers
- Acts as backup to
Managers to confirm end dates with Productions and communicate any changes to
artists
- Resolves conflicts
regarding artist scheduling and resource allocation
- Generates scheduling
reports for manager and project meetings
- Collects and organizes
feedback from Supervisors and Producers regarding project progress and artist
performance
- Knowledgeable on the
skill sets of artists in assigned area; provides analysis of current and
future needs and recommends strategies for the reconciliation of needs and
available resources
- Responsible for space
planning for artists in assigned area of responsibility
- Manages artist setup
process for new hires ensuring all artists have the resources they need to
work efficiently; responsible for artist exit process and notification
- Regularly reviews and
updates scheduling process and policies with department Managers and
Production
- Provides backup to
Managers for timecard approvals and vacation request processing
- Distributes paychecks
to designated artist groups

Qualifications: Education and/or Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in
film, art, communications or related field
- 3+ years production
experience
- Experience with visual
effects or feature animation pipelines and production processes required
Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or
Certificate:
- Comprehensive knowledge
of Microsoft Office applications required; experience with production
tracking software a plus
- Excellent
communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to remain
detail oriented while juggling multiple tasks in a high pressure environment
- Demonstrated ability to
resolve conflicts

- Office working environment
- Hours for this position are based on normal working hours
but will require extra hours pending production needs
- Walking/bending/sitting
