Movie/Film Senior Editor

Position Summary:

The main function is to provide long-form video editing services utilizing the Adobe suite of post-production software. The individual will provide professional on air performance in all facets of the network(s). As well, provide additional input into other forms of sales/promotion materials.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Edit and conform video footage into long-form content utilizing field notes, beatsheets, and/or paper edits.
• Work directly with Project Manager & Producers, communicating and updating information as necessary in regards to schedules/deadlines
• Participate in planning meetings with creative team as needed
• Provide direction to assistant editor(s) regarding content creation

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience in long-form editing (preferably reality TV).
• Must have strong story telling skills.
• Must have a strong background in Full Tapeless workflow & be fluent with the Adobe suite of post-production software.
• Must understand the elements of effective promotion and program formatting.
• Ability to operate in a production editing facility with superior efficiency.
• Must excel in prioritizing and multitasking.
• Must be able to communicate in a positive & professional manner.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or technical degree in Communication or related field preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in producing and editing in a professional environment.
• A demo reel conveying your experience.
