Design, Interactivity & Media Arts Instructor
Description
Responsible for teaching Design,
Interactivity & Media Arts courses including 3-D animation to diverse adult
learners. Duties include developing curriculum for Virtual Reality, academic
advising of students, attending department and faculty development meetings,
and teaching a minimum credit hour load of 49.5 ECH.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in the discipline or in a related
discipline and 2 years full-time related occupational experience. Must have basic
software skills such as raster, vector, 3-D modeling, preferably Unity. Teaching
experience in higher education/Community College preferred. Will involve travel to other campuses for day,
evening and/or weekend classes. A teaching
demonstration and a portfolio are required as part of the interview process. 177
day, 9 month contract. Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors
approval. Hiring process includes a
background check. NOTE: College degrees obtained outside the U.S. accepted only
when interpreted by transcript service members of the National Association of
Credential Evaluation Services.
