Want to make awesome cartoons with amazingly talented teams in a cool new studio?

DHX Media – Vancouver is looking for experienced Animatic Editor to join our team! 

As the Animatic Editor, you get to be the person who gets their hands on the first stage of editing for this exciting new 2D Flash series! We’re looking for a team-oriented person with a wicked sense of timing, strong problem-solving skills and a love for animation!

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:

• Compile Animatics using Imported Storyboard Panels and Audio Files
• Applying temporary SoundFX and applicable Camera Moves
• Updating Sequences through Various Cuts and submitting locked shows to animators
• Work collaboratively with the Director to craft the story from the storyboards given

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Previous experience editing on an episodic series is necessary (experience on a feature film is a definite asset)
• Degree or Diploma from a recognized film production school
• Understanding of 2D concepts and workflows
• Production experience with Avid Media Composer is essential
• A solid story sense and strong sense of timing
• Ability to adapt to varying production demands and shifting priorities
• Ability to organize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner
• Proactive thinker with creative problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to work as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills
• A sharp wit and a great sense of humor!
