Career development is important at Double Negative but it’s necessary to manage this appropriately and make sure any step up is achievable. For any of our Compositors looking to move into a Compositing Supervisor role, we have a unique position at Double Negative called 2D Sequence Supervisor. This allows our Compositors the opportunity to supervise a sequence of a large film. Shot count will vary on average from 100 – 400 depending on the show.

It is the responsibility of the Supervisor to lead the technical and creative efforts of a team of artists towards completion across a sequence of shots. They will provide support for their artists and provide relevant information conducive to the completion of work on the sequence, including briefing compositors and providing constructive feedback to ensure consistency. They will also be responsible for the delivery of work on schedule and to a high technical standard, working closely with the 3d Sequence Supe and the Line Producer to achieve this.

Must Have

·       A minimum of 5 years VFX film comp experience.

·       Experience as a Comp Lead/Sequence Lead/Sequence Supe.

·       Advanced experience in using Nuke.

·       A critical eye for detail, and be able to communicate visual aspects to the team.

·       Be technically strong.

·       Experience of project management, balancing quality with time constraints
