Instructional Designer/Writer

Description

SCAD seeks a designer/writer to ensure that a high standard of instructional design is maintained throughout the life of each online learning development project.

In this role, you will employ industry-standard principles in the design of education for online delivery. In addition, you’ll conduct needs assessment and task analysis to include terminal and enabling objectives and design effective performance measurement and evaluation strategies.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and possesses experience in online distance education, strong web-authoring skills, and working knowledge of HTML and at least one WYSIWYG editor, preferably Dreamweaver. You should have broad knowledge of web-based eLearning and other new media applications as well as exceptional reading comprehension, superior communication skills, and the ability to write and edit materials in English. Facility with at least one course management system, preferably Blackboard, is a plus. The abilities to manage projects to successful, on-time and on-budget completion, work well in a team environment, and effectively interact with a variety of academic constituencies are required.

Requirements:
? Graduate degree, preferably in instructional design or comparable discipline
? Two to five years of experience in instructional design for technology-delivered education in an academic setting
