Systems Administrator

We are looking for a Systems Administrator with strong knowledge of IT/Post­Production/VFX to support our New York Office.

Responsibilities:.

  • ?  Perform a wide range of system administration duties, including support of enterprise

    applications, desktops, laptops, servers and network equipment.

  • ?  Proactively oversee the monitoring of all IT devices, applications and services.

  • ?  Design, Maintenance, Support, Troubleshooting of TCP/IP layer 2/3 LAN/WAN networks, Servers

    and High­capacity storage.

  • ?  Manage hosted services and cloud computing environments.

  • ?  Develop administrative policies, documentation and procedures.

  • ?  Escalation support for helpdesk personnel.

  • ?  Other duties as assigned or necessary.

    Skills:
    3­5+ Years Experience in Post­Production or VFX Environment.
    Knowledge of Linux/Unix/Windows Server Technologies.
    Server Configuration Management (Puppet)
    Mac OS configuration management software (Munki, Deploy Studio)
    Cloud hosted services such as: Okta, O365, G­Suite (Google Apps), Aspera, etc
    Cloud Computing Experience (AWS: EC2, S3, VPC)
    TCP/IP Networking (Dell, Extreme, Brocade, Cisco), Firewalls (PFSense, Fortigate), VPNs, VoIP, etc. Network & Server Monitoring (SNMP, PRTG)
    Render Farm Management (Deadline)
    Understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS, RAID, JBOD, SMB, NFS, etc)
    Strong knowledge of scripting languages (BASH, Python, Ruby, etc)
    Excellent Troubleshooting Skills
    Excellent Verbal and written skills
    Flexibility and a sense of humor

    Desired Qualifications

    Experience with EMC Isilon or OpenZFS
    Knowledge of Tape backup and archiving
    Extensive knowledge of High­End Video codecs and workflows
    Knowledge of Creative applications: Adobe Creative Cloud, Maya, Cinema 4D, Flame, Avid, etc. Supporting Video Conferencing systems
