DevOps & Release Engineer (Los Angeles Based)

Description

Production Engineering designs, develops and maintains core pipeline applications and services used by departments throughout the company. We are looking for an experienced engineer to help deliver stable software in a timely manner. The ideal candidate would have a background in software engineering and an understanding of the VFX or gaming industry.

Responsibilities include:

• Install and maintain a complex, off-site software stack
• Design, develop and maintain test suites to evaluate regression and acceptance
• Create an automated testing framework
• Perform regular manual and automated testing
• Liaise with clients and developers to ensure tests are current and valid
• Keep up to date with rapidly changing client requirements and priorities

Requirements:

• Candidates must reside in and be lawful to work in the United States.
• 2+ years experience in formal software testing
• 2+ years experience in DevOps or system administrator
• Experience writing Python in a production environment
• A strong Linux background
• Experience supporting and debugging Linux desktop and service-based applications
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• VFX or gaming experience an asset
