Animation has exciting opportunities for talented Production Co-ordinators with
experience of CG feature animation to be involved in our first film. Based in London (UK), and partnering with Double
Negative’s new Feature Animation division, we will be creating a high
quality CG movie in partnership with 20th Century Fox.
As our Editorial
Co-ordinator you will support the Production
Manager and Editorial Department Production Manager to ensure that the Editors
and their assistants have all necessary materials for production. You will monitor
deliveries and communicate changes to ensure the schedule is accurate. You will be the principal production liaison between
your team and other departments. Our
ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is able to think proactively about
production issues and quickly adjust and adapt when necessary. This is a
fantastic opportunity to participate in the making of a major animated feature
film within one of its busiest and most creatively critical departments.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Production Manager and Editorial
Department Production Manager to support the needs of a team of six or more Editors
and Assistant Editors.
- Take detailed creative notes in Editorial
sessions.
- Ensure sequence changes are updated and distributed to production in a
timely and reliable manner.
- Co-ordinate the flow of storyboards, pre-vis,
animation, production dialogue and other materials through Editorial.
- Draft and manage distribution of all
production paperwork, including creative notes, staffing schedules, sequence
status, turnover dates and timesheets.
- Meet with Editors regularly to ensure
consistency of communication.
- Ensure all production and turnover
deadlines are met.
- Support the needs of recording sessions.
- Schedule and prepare meetings.
- Co-ordinate production travel and expense
reports.
- Act as department liaison for production and
accounting teams.
Position
Requirements
- European passport or right to work in the UK
- Minimum 3 years’ experience at an Animation or VFX studio.
- Hands-on production co-ordination experience
on at least one feature film in this or similar role.
- Well-versed in all aspects of the CG animation
pipeline and industry best practices, particularly as they relate to the Editorial
Department.
- Highly organized and resourceful with
excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Work well under pressure and meet deadlines with
a sense of initiative and accountability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel,
Word) and Shotgun.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
(After Effects, Premier, Bridge), Avid and Flix a bonus.
